The same people, every visit.
Recurring clients get the same two cleaners. It is better for the house, and it is considerably better for the person walking into it.
- Nine cleaners
- Bonded and insured
- Hourly wage, no commission

Rosalind Okereke
Founder, and still on the schedule two days a week
Since 2016
Started Verdant Home after nine years cleaning for two larger Portland companies and losing her sense of smell to a bathroom product she was told was safe.
Writes the product policy, and is the person who says no when a client asks for bleach in a house with a cat.
Marisol Aguilar-Reyes
Lead, recurring teams
Since 2017
Runs four recurring routes across the inner southeast. Knows which houses have unsealed marble and which have a dog that hates the vacuum.
Trained the rest of the team on colour-coded microfibre, and is unreasonably strict about it.
Thea Lindqvist
Lead, deep cleans and move-outs
Since 2019
Came from restaurant kitchens, which is where she learned dwell time is not optional and a wiped surface is not a clean one.
Takes the move-out photographs, and has an unbeaten record with property managers in Beaverton.
Emeka Nwachukwu
Cleaner, and the person who fixes the vacuums
Since 2021
Maintains every machine in the van fleet. Sealed HEPA systems only work if the seals are actually intact, and he is the reason ours are.
Replaces filters on a schedule, not when someone notices the suction dropped.
Junko Salvatierra
Scheduling and client care
Since 2022
The voice on the phone. Handles walkthroughs, sensitivities intake, and the question of whether we can be there before the property inspection.
Keeps the sensitivity notes for every household, so a new team member never has to be told twice.
Names and biographies here are written for this demonstration site. The employment terms below are the part worth taking seriously.
How people are paid changes how a house gets cleaned.
The cleaning industry runs on piece rates, unpaid travel and no sick pay, and every one of those shows up in the work. These four are the least interesting page on any cleaning website and the most predictive.
Hourly wage, no commission
Nobody here earns more by persuading you to add an oven clean. It removes the only reason a cleaner would ever oversell you.
Paid travel between houses
Unpaid travel is how this industry quietly turns an eight hour day into eleven. Ours is on the clock.
Sick pay that people actually use
A cleaner who cannot afford to stay home is a cleaner who works through a virus in five houses. That is not a wellness brand, it is a vector.
Products are our decision, not the client’s
A client can decline scent, ask for a rinse, or require a disinfectant. A client cannot ask us to use something we will not publish.

Keys, bonds and the boring paperwork.
Most recurring clients give us a lockbox code or a key. Keys are held under a janitorial bond, numbered rather than labelled with an address, and returned the day a client stops. We carry general liability insurance and will send the certificate before a first visit rather than after somebody asks twice.
Every team member is background checked before they work unaccompanied, and new cleaners work paired for their first two months regardless of experience.
Meet whoever would be coming.
Ask for the walkthrough to be done by the lead who would actually run your route. It is the same twenty minutes and you get to meet the person rather than a salesperson.
